Cliff
Cottage Inn: Eureka's Only All-suites/Cottages B&B and only B&B in the
very Heart of the quaint Historic Downtown |
|
|
|
|
|
Breakfast is delivered on a silver tray |
All suites and
cottages feature Jacuzzis for two (one cottage has an outdoor hot tub);
in-room fridges with complimentary Champagne or white wine chilled and
waiting; in-room coffeemakers with coffee we import directly from a
plantation in Costa Rica (your innkeeper spent 5 mos. tramping around the
jungles of the southern hemisphere in search of the perfect cup of coffee
after she had been lost at sea for 5 weeks with a Captain Bligh act-alike,
but that's a story you'll hear when you get here); and TVs/VCRs with a
library of movies to enjoy.
The best part — we're the only B&B with a little
elf
who delivers a to-die-for gourmet French breakfast (Sandra learned to cook
in France and her new cookbook has just been released!) — so you can have
breakfast in bed or on your private balcony, front porch or deck ... just
the two of you. If you're in one of the individual cottages, the elf brings
your optional breakfast in a lovely basket right to your door. Southern
Living recently lauded our breakfasts, saying “they are not to be
missed!”
The main Inn consists
of two houses side by side.
Cliff Cottage, with two suites,
is a State and National Historic Landmark and the most photographed house
downtown — it's very gingerbread Victorian and has been featured in
Southern Living and Country Inns, numerous newspaper travel
sections. and many coffeetable books on America's “painted lady” Victorians.
Sears commissioned the architect, Mr. Eastlake, to design its first kit home
and Cliff Cottage is exactly that — it arrived in town in 40 boxes on the
first trip of the ES&NA Railroad into Eureka and became the first mayor's
home.

Let Us Help
You Create a Custom Package...
As you plan your
visit to Eureka, let our elf help design a wonderful time for you. Whether
you're staying with us one night or a week, we can offer you fun things to
do as optional extras—this way you only pay for things you really want to do
or have time to enjoy.
If you wish to attend the Passion Play, Opera in the Ozarks or
the Hoedown, the elf knows where all the best seats are and will be
happy to make reservations for you. By advance arrangement, our Massage
Therapist can come right to your suite/cottage. We also offer Sunset
Supper Cruises on our pontoon boat on Beaver Lake, weather permitting;
Lake Cruises with quick dips in romantic coves; Gourmet Victorian
Picnic Basket Lunches or Suppers either to enjoy in your suite or
cottage or set up to go with a map of our favorite secret picnic spots, and
of course, the Small Intimate Weddings, Vow Renewals or Commitment
Ceremonies (for the couple and up to 4 guests). We will also gladly set
up horseback riding or canoe trips, carriage rides,
golf tee times at Holiday Island, or a side trip to Branson (it's
only 47 miles away... lots of our guests run over there for the day).
